Wide Receivers scoring touchdowns for the Chiefs? Believe it!
If there’s one thing you can say about the Chiefs offense, it’s that they’ve got speed. Charles, Maclin, and even Alex Smith can scoot. That’s why their screen game has been so successful, as evidenced by this screen TD to De’Anthony Thomas.
The key to this play is Bears CB Tracy Porter. When Porter sees the block in front of him, he tries to beat Thomas to the inside to make the tackles. But Thomas is a speedster, and takes the outside route, beating the Bears defense for six.
Thomas is crazy fast, and the Chiefs try to work him into the offense whenever possible. He’s not fantasy relevant, unless he’s stealing touches from players like Maclin or Charles.
The TD was huge for the Chiefs, who need this win to improve to 2-3 and keep pace with the Broncos in the AFC West. They currently lead 14-3.
