All eyes are on Stamford Bridge today, as life without Mourinho begins for Chelsea.
The reigning English champions enter the match just one point above the relegation zone, but are still three points better than today’s opponent Sunderland.
Guus Hiddink is in talks to take over for Mourinho, but nothing has been finalized. Coaches Steve Holland and Eddie Newton will likely oversee the squad, but it’s possible Hiddink will watch the match from the stands.
It’s crazy to think how far Chelsea has fallen in less than one year. This year Chelsea has lost to nine different Premier League opponents- the same number they lost to during Mourinho’s entire first run with the team.
