Wayne Rooney and Manchester United have had a strong season in 2015-2016 but are still looking for stable options at striker. The English captain Rooney has limped behind French teenager Anthony Martial at striker, opening a need for more offensive firepower for the English Premier League's third ranked side. On top of the fact that Rooney has seen his statistics drop, he has been in the news more for former teammate Anders Lindegaard crudely commenting on Twitter when Rooney said that Lindegaard is a boring person. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has emerged as an offensive superstar for Borussia Dortmund over the last two seasons and could be a huge part of Manchester United going forward. Aubameyang is the Gabonese star that has broken out for Borussia Dortmund over the last two seasons and has scored 22 goals in 18 games this season. He has scored in all but three games this season and, even though he inked a deal that should keep him at Dortmund until 2020, is linked to be on the move to Manchester United. He has scored 98 goals in 214 games since starting at Lyon in France and Chelsea, Arsenal, and Barcelona have all shown interest in the Borussia man as well. (Getty)

Thomas Muller would not be cheap for Manchester United and has suitors across Europe and England, but would be a great option for Manchester United. Muller has been chased by Manchester United in the past, with Bayern rebuking United in the summer, but 20 goals this season could see Muller get more than the reported 85 million euro that Manchester United offered during the summer. Teammate Arjen Robben may also be on his way to Manchester as well, adding to United's claim for Muller, but Chelsea are also after the big German. (Getty)

Edinson Cavani may be a good veteran option for Manchester United if he leaves PSG. He has been linked with United to provide assistance to Anthony Martial at forward. Manchester United have opened their chase for Cavani with an inquiry to PSG and are trying to beat Chelsea to the Uruguay international. PSG are currently not open to the thought of losing their 10 goal scorer from 2015-2016, but Manchester United could move for the 42 million euro man.
