The English captain Rooney has limped behind French teenager Anthony Martial at striker, opening a need for more offensive firepower for the English Premier League's third ranked side. On top of the fact that Rooney has seen his statistics drop, he has been in the news more for former teammate Anders Lindegaard crudely commenting on Twitter when Rooney said that Lindegaard is a boring person.
