Elimination Chamber 2017

Winner: And the new WWE Champion, Bray Wyatt!

Highlights: Cena and Styles rekindled their legendary feud by starting things off first. Both men landed their big moves on each other right from the onset of the match, which saw AJ land his Spinning Towerhacker Bomb on Cena. AJ looked to land an early Styles Clash, but Cena threw AJ over his back and soon landed a nice Code Red on him right after. AJ and Cena followed that big moment up by landing dueling punches on each other, but AJ got the better of that exchange of by dropping Cena neck-first onto his knee. Cena eventually got back to his feet and almost finished his comeback offense on AJ, but Ambrose’s arrival interrupted it. Ambrose ran out of his pod like a bat out of hell and started taking down both Cena and AJ. Ambrose even managed to suplex AJ right onto the outer platform of the structure. Soon after, Ambrose launched himself from the top of his pod and landed an elbow drop on Cena.

Once all three man got back into the ring, Cena ended up German Suplexing both men at the very same time. Another big moment followed that up as AJ landed a Pele on Cena that was met with a Rebound Clothesline from Ambrose. Bray Wyatt entered the match next and cleaned house on all three current competitors. Bray even launched AJ into the chain link fence as he went for a Springboard move. AJ wasn’t all the way done as he kicked Bray, trapped in near a corner ring post and then leg dropped him while he was till locked inside. AJ and Cena soon climbed up in unison inside the chamber and began punching each other repeatedly. AJ got the better of Cena and forced him to fall flat on his back. AJ climbed up to the glass panel afterwards, but Ambrose met him in time to slam his head into it over and over and over. Ambrose then fell into the arms of Bray, who began taking advantage of Ambrose’s weakened state. During a moment of confusion, Ambrose pulled off a Tower of Doom on Bray as he held onto Styles from atop the pod.

Corbin was announced the next man out, who headed straight for Ambrose and began tearing him apart. Corbin even pulled off a devastating Deep Six Nine on Ambrose, which led right into him shoving Bray into a pod and landing a big boot soon after. Corbin hopped back into the ring and laid AJ out with his End of Days, but Cena almost made him tap out with his STF after just finishing his move. That STF hold didn’t stay locked on too long once Corbin escaped and hit Cena with a 2nd End of Days. Ambrose came off the top rope with a Missile Dropkick on Corbin and got in some good offense on him afterwards. Ambrose’s series of moves didn’t do too much damage to the big man, though. Corbin shoved him face first into the cage links. Once The Miz finally entered the match, Ambrose rolled up Corbin while he was distracted and eliminated him. Corbin was beyond pissed, which led to him destroying Ambrose by flinging him through a glass chamber. Miz ran right in when the coast was clear and pinned Ambrose.

Miz then proceeded to mimic Daniel Bryan’s repeated kicks and use them on Cena, Bray and AJ. Miz’s DB tribute act carried on as he laid in a series of dropkicks on all three men. Miz landed a Skull Crushing Finale on Bray on the outside, but he then flew right into the arms of Cena for a match eliminating AA. Afterwards, Bray and AJ wasted no time in teaming up to beat down the champ. Their alliance was short lived though. Bray struck down AJ, but he got taken down with Cena’s array of comeback maneuvers. Cena even landed a Double-Knuckle Shuffle on both men! Cena landed a 2nd AA right onto Bray, but then he almost faced elimination after eating a Styles Clash. Styles signaled for his big flying forearm strike, but Cena ducked underneath him and pulled off yet another AA. Styles kicked out, though!

Cena then pulled off the unthinkable – he ascended to one of the chamber pods and landed a huge flying body splash on both men inside the ring. Cena signaled for another AA, but he shockingly got eliminated after Bray took him out of the match with a Sister Abigail. The crowd looked on in shock as Bray and AJ were left as the chamber’s final two survivors. Bray made an attempt to clothesline AJ in the corner, but AJ cut him off with a dropkick to his leg and a low striking forearm strike. Back on his feet, AJ laid in a few strikes from his combo but was cut off by a stiff lariat from Bray. Bray went for his Uranage Slam, but AJ flipped out of it to land a Pele and a running knee strike. AJ crawled to the top rope and successfully landed his Springboard 450 Splash on Bray, but Bray still kicked out. AJ looked to land another big springboard maneuver, but this mistake cost him greatly. Bray caught AJ in midair and finished him with a final Sister Abigail. As Bray celebrated in the ring, Orton stared his future ‘Mania 33 opponent down from the entrance ramp.
