WATCH: Seth Rollins Returns to Ring on ‘Monday Night Raw’

Seth Rollins made his return to the ring on Monday Night Raw this week, attacking Triple H at the conclusion of the show.

Earlier in the night on March 13th’s Raw, Stephanie McMahon had demanded that Mick Foley fire a superstar by the end of the evening. Foley refused, saying that the person who deserves to be fired is Stephanie McMahon herself. From there, Triple H entered, defending his wife and sparring with Foley.

But just as Triple H was getting ready to attack Mick Foley, Seth Rollins’ theme music played, and Rollins started to walk down the ramp with his crutch. Rollins was legitimately injured back in January during a fight with Samoa Joe.

As soon as Rollins made it out to the ring, though, he dropped his crutch, revealing that he can walk perfectly fine and that he has presumably been cleared to compete again. He then jumped into the ring and attacked Triple H.

At first it seemed like the show would end with Rollins standing victorious over Triple H. But instead, Triple H grabbed Rollins’ crutch, repeatedly hit his injured knee with it, and then twisted the knee as Rollins screamed.

The WWE has been building a Triple H vs Seth Rollins feud for at least seven months now, going back to August 2016, when Triple H betrayed Rollins and handed the Universal Championship over to Kevin Owens. But when Rollins injured his knee in January, it became unclear whether these plans could be realized at WrestleMania. Luckily, it seems that the Triple H and Seth Rollins match will now unfold as originally planned.
