On Wednesday evening, the San Antonio Spurs will play the Grizzlies in Memphis.
The Spurs are coming off a 136-111 victory over the Miami Heat in Florida.
De’Aaron Fox finished the win with 14 points, three rebounds, six assists and one steal while shooting 5/13 from the field and 1/4 from three-point range in 29 minutes of playing time.

For Wednesday’s game, the Spurs have announced that they will be without Fox.
He has been ruled out due to a back injury.

Fox is in the middle of his first full season playing for the Spurs.
The former Kentucky point guard is averaging 18.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 48.6% from the field and 34.2% from three-point range in 63 games.

Fox was the fifth pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.
He had spent the first seven and a half seasons of his career playing for the Sacramento Kings.
That said, the Kings only made the NBA playoffs one time in that span.

Fox has helped the Spurs have an excellent season.
They are the second seed in the Western Conference with a 54-18 record in 72 games.
Over their last ten games, the Spurs have gone 9-1 (and they have won six in a row).

Following the Grizzlies, the Spurs will play their next game on Saturday when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks in Wisconsin.
They have gone 25-11 in the 36 games they have played away from San Antonio.

The Grizzlies are the 12th seed in the Western Conference with a 24-47 record in 71 games.
They have lost three in a row.
