English golfer Alex Fitzpatrick has quickly become one of the most talked about competitors following his win alongside his brother, Matt Fitzpatrick, at the 2026 Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Prior to the brothers’ victory last week in Louisiana, there was little buzz around Alex, the younger of the two, but that has quickly changed.

Now that Alex Fitzpatrick has officially earned his card to play in PGA Tour events with exemption for the next two years, along with entry into the upcoming PGA Championship and all 2026 Signature Events, he’s opening up about how he’s been treated by other PGA Tour competitors in the aftermath of his recent success.

Among his revelations to the media outlets present, Fitzpatrick opened up about how he’s been received by other PGA Tour players since receiving his entry access to upcoming events in 2026 and the Player’s Championship in 2027.

Speaking to the press, Alex elaborated on how he’s been received by competitors, saying, “Yeah, the support [from other PGA Tour players] has been amazing. I’ve had more messages than I ever thought I would. They must think I’m a nice guy or something, because there’s a lot more than I thought I would ever get.”

“But, yeah, there’s a bunch of players, even kind of on the range here, I’ve had so many players and people come up to me and congratulate me for not only last week but the week in India as well,” he continued. Touching on the excited nature of receiving an influx of congratulatory support from both PGA Tour players and fans alike, he said, “So it’s, yeah, it’s been pretty surreal to kind of keep getitng all these messages, and yeah, amazing.”

Alex Fitzpatrick is now slated to play in the Cadillac Championship following his win in New Orleans, which wasn’t an event originally on his calendar. He revealed that he was meant to be playing on the DP World Tour circuit in Turkey right now, but he is now going to be making an appearance in the Miami-based competition happening from April 29, 2026 through May 3, 2026.
