Scottie Scheffler has become the face of golf and his wife Meredith Scheffler has been a massive support during the PGA Tour golfer’s rise to fame. Meredith and Scottie are the proud parents of one son Bennett, who has become a fan favorite after being a regular on the 18th green celebrating his father’s wins.
Scottie and his wife have special plans to donate money from the Ryder Cup to charity. The United States golfers will earn $500,000 with $300,000 of this money going to charity.
Scottie did not specify if the family will donate the full amount and prefers to keep their charitable efforts private.
“I don’t know if we’ve met before, but my wife and I, we like to do a lot of stuff in our local community and I’ve never been one to announce what we do,” Scottie told reporters on September 23, 2025. “I don’t like to give charitable dollars for some kind of recognition.
“We have something planned for the money that we’ll be receiving. I think it’s a really cool thing that the PGA of America has empowered us to do. I have a deep passion for the city of Dallas, I have a deep passion for the organizations that we support at home, and I’m excited to be able to take this money and be able to do some good in our local community.”

Mom and Dad have plans.
As Scottie shines at Bethpage Black, Meredith has been cheering on the star and Team USA. The couple grabbed attention at the Ryder Cup gala for a little parents’ night out.
Scottie and Meredith donned Team USA colors with the golfer wearing a navy suit while his wife went to the dinner in an elegant red dress. Team USA golfers wore white sneakers with their matching navy suits. Scottie took to Instagram to post a photo from the Ryder Cup event ahead of the tournament.
“Mom & Dad date night at the Ryder Cup Gala 🏆,” Scottie noted in a September 24, Instagram message.
Scottie Scheffler on Wife Meredith: ‘That’s My Best Friend’
Just like a typical PGA tournament, Meredith has been in attendance at the Ryder Cup. Scottie is no stranger to winning and has a bit of a routine after the 18th hole which involves finding his wife.
“Every time I’m able to win a tournament, the first person I always look for is my wife,” Scottie explained to reporters after winning The Open. “And where we walk off each day is usually on the right side, and I didn’t see her at first, so I was like, oh my gosh, like where’s Meredith, what happened. You know, she’s not there, and as I kind of circled around the green, I saw my dad standing there, I was like, okay, perfect, my family must be down there.
“And so I saw Meredith, and she’s always the first person I want to celebrate with. She knows me better than anybody. That’s my best friend. It takes a lot of work to be able to become good at this game. And I wouldn’t be able to do it without her support.”
