Tommy Fleetwood hits a tee shot at the FedEx St. Jude Championship 2025

With the recent launch of his Youtube channel, Tommy Fleetwood already boasts an impressive 87,000 followers on the platform. Previously, Fleetwood has held a presence on other major channels, including TaylorMade Golf. Now, he is looking to grow his own following, and on August 6th or 2025, hinted at a new adventure. A golf series where he attempts to break 100, but as a left-handed player.

Back in early July, Fleetwood released his first video, ‘How I Prep for a Major’ and since then has quickly gained a following and released two more videos before announcing this leftie challenge for himself.

Fans were to quick to comment on the video about Fleetwood’s already impressive skills. The top comment stating; ‘I honestly think you could break 100 already.’ Gaining 501 likes in agreement. Other supportive comments include, ‘ This is going to be a great 1 episode series…. Dudes swing already looks more pure than 99% of golfers playing with their “proper” hands,’ and one that hits a little close to home, ‘Tommy winning his first PGA event left-handed would be absolute cinema. And i’m absolutely here for it. LFG TOMMY.’

Tommy Fleetwood, Highs and Lows

As Tommy attempts yet another incredible feat, fans look back on the English golfers highs and lows on both the European Tour and the PGA Tour, including an olympic medal back in 2024.

With 7 DP World Tour wins, Fleetwood has seen huge success on the European Tour. Despite this, the 38-year-old golfer has yet to secure a PGA Tour win. Even with 42 top-10 finishes,  Fleetwood has yet to take home first place, coming close on multiple occasions.

Recently, Tommy took home a devastating loss in June of 2025, at the Traveler’s Championship in Connecticut. Here, what looked like a win for Fleetwood took a turn. After Keegan Bradley, Fleetwood’s closest competitor at the event, sunk one into the bunker and ended the 14th hole with a bogey, Fleetwood held the lead. Continuing on, small mistakes on Fleetwood’s part and great success on Bradley’s part ended in another close-call loss for Fleetwood, leaving fans heartbroken.

Still, Fleetwood remains positive on the course but more determined than ever, stating,

“Obviously there’s a lot of chat about it,” Said Fleetwood about the loss. “I would have loved to have done it today, search goes on, I guess. When it happens it will be very, very sweet.”

Fleetwood’s ongoing positivity and genuine love for golf keeps fans rooting for him. As a much beloved player, his supportive fans outshine his critics.

Impressively, back at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Fleetwood took home the silver medal, falling behind Scottie Scheffler.

“There’s part of me that’s disappointed, of course, but at the same time I never dreamt I would be an Olympic medallist,” Fleetwood said.

“I haven’t been in the mix that much recently and being back there, playing well and feeling how that felt again, I enjoyed it so much and I’m unbelievably proud to be an Olympic medallist.

“It feels unbelievably special and I know I didn’t win gold, a very good golfer did, but standing on that podium with a medal was one of the most amazing moments I’ve had as a golfer. I’ll remember those times for the rest of my life.”

Another heartwarming moment for Fleetwood, reminding fans why he remains a popular player.

FedEx Cup

Entering the first weekend of the FedEx Cup, Fleetwood is currently ranked 9th. In 2023, Fleetwood finished T3 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. Last year, in 2024, he ended the weekend at T22. This year, he is looking to return to that higher ranking.

Fans can watch Tommy Fleetwood this weekend at TPC Southwind. He takes on the first event of the FedEx Cup playoffs, the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis, Tennessee.
