Uber is stepping onto the fairway with a new offering designed specifically for golfers. The company has introduced Uber Golf, a feature built into its Uber Reserve platform that aims to simplify one of the more overlooked parts of the game: getting to the course with your gear.

Timed perfectly with the arrival of warmer weather, the rollout targets casual players and dedicated golfers alike who are eager to spend more time swinging and less time coordinating transportation.

“We are thrilled to offer golfers a convenient and reliable way to hit the course,” Adib Roumani, senior director of engineering at Uber, said. “Whether you’re teeing off at your favorite club or heading to Topgolf with friends, Uber Golf lets you spend more time perfecting your swing and less time worrying about how to get there.”

What Uber Golf Actually Offers

At its core, Uber Golf is about convenience and planning ahead. The feature allows users to reserve rides up to 90 days in advance, making it ideal for those early morning tee times or weekend group outings that require a bit of coordination. Once selected, riders can choose between different vehicle options depending on their group size and how many sets of clubs they need to bring along.

UberX rides can accommodate up to two passengers with two sets of golf clubs, while UberXL expands that capacity to four passengers and four sets of clubs. This flexibility ensures that whether you’re heading out for a quick round with a buddy or organizing a foursome, there’s a transportation option that fits. The process is straightforward: users simply tap the Uber Golf tile in the app and schedule their ride like any other reservation.

It’s a subtle but meaningful upgrade that aligns with the structured nature of the sport, where timing is everything.

A Strategic Partnership With Topgolf

Beyond transportation, Uber is also leaning into the entertainment side of golf through a new partnership with Topgolf. Known for blending driving-range gameplay with a social, high-energy atmosphere, Topgolf has become a major gateway for younger and more casual audiences entering the sport.

“Topgolf is all about making it easy for guests to show up and have a great time, and getting there should be just as seamless,” Rodney Ferrell, Topgolf VP of global partnerships, said.

“Partnering with Uber allows us to meet our guests where they are and make getting to Topgolf effortless from the start of their visit, while unlocking gameplay offers for Uber One members through the partnership. It’s a natural fit that adds value on both sides, and we’re just getting started on what we can deliver together.”

The collaboration introduces an added perk for Uber One members: a 20% discount on gameplay at Topgolf venues across the country. While the feature is still rolling out, it signals a deeper integration between mobility and entertainment.

From Topgolf’s perspective, the partnership is about removing friction from the guest experience. Getting to a venue should feel as seamless as the experience inside it. By aligning with Uber, the company is effectively extending its hospitality beyond its physical locations, starting the customer journey the moment they leave their home.
