The market doesn’t seem to be overly impressed with the Milwaukee Brewers historic run this season. It believes that familiar faces will lead the way next season, as reflected in the earliest 2027 World Series odds.

The folks at BetOnline Sports & Casino have cooked up way-too-early lines for next season’s Fall Classic, the club leading the way is the Los Angeles Dodgers at 13/4 (+325). Those odds represent a 23.53% implied probability, giving LA the best shot at winning it all next season. That number shouldn’t be surprising. The Dodgers are still very much the best team in baseball, even if they were upended by the team of destiny that was the 2026 Brewers.

As for the Brewers, they’re right behind at 5/1 (+500). The club has an implied probability of 16.67%, which doesn’t look encouraging on paper, but looks much better than the rest of the field.

Rounding out the top three is the New York Yankees. The Yanks come in at 15/2 (+750), showing an 11.76% implied probability.

As such, there are no surprises among the 2027 World Series favorites. The usual suspects will be leading the way, even if there could be a surprise team like the Brewers elbowing their way to the top.

Oh, and incidentally, the Tampa Bay Rays got a 22/1 opening line (+2,200). For anyone scoffing at that line, it’s worth pointing out this season’s opening lines had the Brewers at 20/1.

So, there’s no real telling who could emerge as the champ in 2027.

Dodgers Remain the Team to Beat Heading Into the 2027 World Series

The market isn’t overthinking this one. The Los Angeles Dodgers have built a roster that should keep them among the favorites to reach the 2027 World Series, even if the looming possibility of a salary cap eventually complicates their spending strategy.

For now, the Dodgers have the financial muscle and organizational depth to keep putting an elite team on the field. They may be expensive, but that’s hardly a problem when the alternative is watching other teams celebrate another championship.

There is little reason to expect Los Angeles to suddenly fall off next season. Barring an unforeseen collapse or significant injury problems, the Dodgers should once again be fighting for the National League pennant. The Yankees deserve similar consideration in the American League. They have the talent to make another deep postseason run and could very well find themselves back in the ALCS.

That doesn’t mean either team is guaranteed a place in the Fall Classic. The Brewers have already demonstrated that the Dodgers can be beaten, while the Rays would need quite a few things to fall into place to make a serious run. Still, the early 2027 World Series odds reflect a reasonable expectation: the established heavyweights are likely to remain in the conversation.

Brewers Have a Realistic Chance to Make Another Championship Run

The interesting part of these odds is that the market hasn’t dismissed Milwaukee as a one-year wonder. The Brewers sit second behind the Dodgers, and there are legitimate reasons to believe they can remain a contender.

Milwaukee should have much of its championship-winning roster back next season. That continuity matters, particularly for a team that has established itself as one of the National League’s most consistent clubs over the past couple of seasons.

Of course, repeating a 2027 World Series appearance is never easy. The Brewers will need their pitching to hold up, their key players to stay healthy and their younger contributors to continue delivering. There is also the small matter of getting through a competitive National League.

But Milwaukee has already shown it can handle that challenge. Its 2026 run wasn’t simply a case of getting hot at the right time. The Brewers have been consistently competitive, and their ability to overcome the Dodgers in the postseason should give the organization plenty of confidence.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see Los Angeles and Milwaukee fighting for another National League pennant next year. A Dodgers-Brewers rematch in the 2027 World Series isn’t guaranteed, but the early odds suggest the market considers it a very real possibility.
