The Atlanta Braves are going up against the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday for the Little League Classic. The matchup will be played at Historic Bowman Field in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
The Braves are entering this game with the hope of bouncing back, as they have lost each of their last two games against the Brewers. Atlanta has also lost five out of its last six games.
Now, ahead of the Little League Classic, the Braves are calling up one of their outfielders from Triple-A.
Braves Call Up Outfielder Brewer Hicklen
The Braves have announced that they have called up outfielder Brewer Hicklen to be their additional player for the Little League Classic on Sunday.
Hicklen certainly has earned this latest chance to join the Braves’ roster, as he has been excellent in Triple-A this season. In 96 games with Triple-A Gwinnett, he has recorded 18 home runs, 64 RBI, and a .302 batting average.
Hicklen has also been solid for the Braves when called upon this season. In eight games for the Braves this campaign, he has posted three RBI, four doubles, and a .368 batting average.
Looking at Hicklen’s MLB Career So Far
While Hicklen has not gotten a ton of chances in the majors, he has done pretty well at the plate when called up. In 18 career MLB games over four seasons split between the Kansas City Royals, Brewers, Detroit Tigers, and Braves, he has posted a solid .290 batting average.
In his lone game with the Tigers during the 2025 season, he notably went two-for-three at the plate. With that, he has had some good momenets in the majors, and it is fair to wonder if he could become a full-time MLB player in the future.
Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see if the Braves give Hicklen a chance in their lineup at any point during their game against the Brewers.
