The Atlanta Braves are set to play against the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday night. The Braves will be looking to pick up a victory after losing the first game of their series against the Mariners by a 5-4 final score.

Yet, the Braves have made a notable roster move ahead of their upcoming matchup against the Mariners.

The Braves have announced that they have designated veteran pitcher Carlos Carrasco for assignment. This is in response to pitcher Raisel Iglesias returning to the team after his stint on the injured list.

Carrasco has appeared in two games this season with the Braves, where he has a 0-0 record, a 0.00 ERA, and two strikeouts. This is after he had a 2-2 record, a 7.09 ERA, and 25 strikeouts in 11 games split between the New York Yankees and Atlanta during this past season.

This is the second time this season that the Braves have designated Carrasco for assignment. Teams now have the chance to claim him off waivers if they wish to.

In 337 career major league games over 17 seasons, Carrasco has a 112-105 record and a 4.22 ERA.
