Chicago Cubs Announce Roster Decision With 4-Year MLB Player

On Sunday night, the Chicago Cubs beat the Milwaukee Brewers by a score of 12-0 in their most recent spring training game.

They have just two more exhibition games before their Opening Day matchup against the Washington Nationals on March 26.

On Sunday, the Cubs announced a series of roster moves.

One of those decisions involved reassigning Collin Snider.

The Chicago Tribune wrote: “The Chicago Cubs again trimmed their big-league camp roster before Sunday’s Cactus League finale by returning infielder Jonathon Long, and right-handed relievers Corbin Martin and Collin Snider to the minor-league side.”

Snider is coming off a season where he appeared in 24 games for the Seattle Mariners.

He had a 2-1 record with a 5.47 ERA.

Snider’s Entire MLB Career

Snider was picked in the 12th round of the 2017 MLB Draft out of Vanderbilt.

In addition to Seattle, the 30-year-old has also spent time with the Kansas City Royals over four seasons in the league.

He has gone 9-7 with a 4.48 ERA in 128 games.

Cubs Ahead Of Opening Day

The Cubs have a very talented roster led by Michael Busch, Dansby Swanson, Alex Bregman and others that should be able to contend in the National League.

They are already coming off a season where they were the second-place team in the NL Central with a 92-70 record.

The franchise last won a World Series Championship during the 2016 season when they beat the Cleveland Guardians in seven games.
