Chicago selected Miller’s contract from Triple-A Iowa on Aug. 17.
Miller appeared in just one game with the Cubs. He didn’t have a single plate appearance.
With Triple-A Iowa, Miller slashed .296/.350/.457 with seven home runs, 26 doubles, six triples, 57 RBI and 10 stolen bases across 96 games.

The San Diego Padres selected Miller in the third round (No. 84 overall) of the 2018 MLB Draft out of Illinois State University.
On Aug. 31, 2020, the Padres traded Miller, Cal Quantrill, Josh Naylor, Gabriel Arias and Joey Cantillo to the Cleveland Indians (now Guardians) for Mike Clevinger, Greg Allen and a player to be named later.

The Guardians traded Miller to the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2022-23 offseason.

Miller appeared in 90 games with Milwaukee in 2023. He played in just 14 games at the big-league level for the organization in 2024 before being traded to the Colorado Rockies for cash in the 2024-25 offseason.
