Also on Friday, the Tigers announced the latest update on Kerry Carpenter.
MLB.com wrote (on August 21): “Has started rehab progression again after setback during running drills.”
According to the site, Carpenter’s return to MLB action is still TBD.

Before getting hurt, Carpenter had been batting .208 with 48 hits, 13 home runs, 36 RBIs and 27 runs in 81 games.

Following two more games with the Royals, the Tigers will return home to host the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday night.
