On Friday evening, the Los Angeles Dodgers will open up a series with the Los Angeles Angels.

They are coming off a 5-2 win over the San Francisco Giants (on Thursday).

Freddie Freeman finished with one strikeout in four at-bats.

For Friday’s game, the Dodgers have announced their starting lineup.

Freeman is not in the lineup on Friday.

The future Hall of Famer is batting .270 with 44 hits, four home runs, 20 RBI’s, 15 runs and one stolen base in 42 games this season.

He is in his fifth year with the Dodgers.

Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic wrote: “Freddie Freeman appears to be getting a day off today. Dalton Rushing is starting at first base for the Dodgers.”

The Dodgers come into the series as the first-place team in the National League West with a 26-18 record in 44 games.

After three games with the Angels, the Dodgers will visit the San Diego Padres (who are the second-place team in the division) on Monday.
