Milwaukee Brewers Announce Notable Roster Move

Before Wednesday’s game, the Brewers announced that they had made a roster move.
The Brewers wrote (via X): “RHP Quinn Priester has been sent to Triple-A Nashville on rehab assignment”
Priester is coming off an excellent year for the Brewers where he went 13-3 with a 3.32 ERA in 29 games.
He has yet to appear in a game during the 2026 season.
MLB Social Media Reacts To Priester News
Here’s what people were saying on social media:
@EdwardKaske: “I’m so ready for Priester to join the starting rotation”
Hunter Baumgardt: “Quinn Priester is scheduled to start for Triple-A Nashville tonight as he begins his rehab assignment.”
@LockedOnBrewers: “Big news 👇”
@BrewskerBurner: “I needed this”
Adam McCalvy: “The Brewers have sent RHP Quinn Priester to Triple-A Nashville to begin a rehab assignment. The are in Charlotte and play at 5:35 pm CT tonight.”

Priester’s MLB Career

Priester was the 18th pick in the 2019 MLB Draft.
He has also had stints with the Pittsburgh Pirates and Boston Red Sox over three MLB seasons.
In 50 games, Priester has a 19-12 record with a 4.45 ERA.
At just 25, his past season with the Brewers was very intriguing.
Mike Vassallo wrote (on June 29, 2025): “Quinn Priester – acquired from Boston in April – yesterday became just the eighth pitcher (9x) in franchise history to throw at least 7.0 innings with no runs, one or no hits and 10+ strikeouts in a game.”
Brewers Right Now

The Brewers come into the night as the fourth-place team in the National League Central with a 13-9 record in 22 games.
They are 6-4 in the ten games they have played outside of Wisconsin.
Following the Tigers, the Brewers will open up a series with the Pirates on Friday (at home).
