The Milwaukee Brewers had the best regular-season record in baseball last year, and their young talent could carry them to even more in 2026.
MLB Pipeline rated the Brewers’ farm system the best in MLB, with five prospects in the outlet’s top 100. Milwaukee also has one of the deepest systems in the game, with every position on the diamond represented in the organization’s Top 30.
Having the top farm system in baseball heading into this season is certainly an advantage for the small-market Brewers, who have relied heavily on pre-arbitration players in recent years. In 2024, Jackson Chourio finished third in NL Rookie of the Year voting for the NL Central winners after being named to the Opening Day roster. In February, Milwaukee traded 2025 Rookie of the Year finalist Caleb Durbin to the Boston Red Sox for left hander Kyle Harrison, bolstering its starting rotation.
In their current farm system, the Brewers have players who can make an immediate impact upon being called up and a pair of phenoms who could become mainstays on their infield in the not-so-distant future.
Freddy Peralta Trade Bolstered Brewers’ System
Milwaukee solidified its place atop MLB Pipeline’s rankings in January when it traded All-Star Freddy Peralta to the New York Mets for Jett Williams and Brandon Sproat, both top 100 prospects.
Williams, the No. 51 prospect in the game, brings contact hitting, speed and versatility, a skill set that was emblematic of the Brewers’ lineup last season. He finished last season in Triple-A and will likely begin the year there, but it shouldn’t be long before he makes his MLB debut, considering he can play both middle infield positions and every outfield spot.
Sproat is the No. 100 prospect in baseball and made his MLB debut last season with the Mets. In four September starts, he pitched to a 4.79 ERA with 17 strikeouts in 20.2 innings. He figures to be in the mix for the Brewers’ starting rotation to begin 2026 and has a high ceiling for his first full season in the Majors.
Brewers’ Infield Of The Future Looks Bright
The Brewers also boast two of the best infield prospects in the game, currently slated to begin the year in Double-A. If they continue to develop as expected, Milwaukee could have one of the best young infields in baseball as soon as 2027.
Jesus Made, a middle infielder, is the No. 3 overall prospect in baseball. He signed with the Brewers out of the Dominican Republic as a 16-year-old in 2024 and rose three levels in the minor leagues in 2025. His speed and his hitting are his highest-rated tools, according to MLB.com. But now just 18-years-old, there is still plenty of power for Made to grow into.
Cooper Pratt, a sixth-round draft pick in 2023, is the No. 64 prospect in the game. He is primarily a shortstop, with his arm and his glove grading out as his best tools. Pratt hit .238 with a .691 OPS in 120 games in Double-A last season, and if his bat catches up to his fielding ability in the early part of the year, he has a shot to make his Major League debut in 2026.
