UPDATE: Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reported on Minter’s outing.
DiComo wrote: “A.J. Minter (torn left lat) made his first competitive appearance in 50 weeks today, throwing a perfect inning for Single-A St. Lucie with one strikeout. Minter averaged 93 mph on his fastball and hit 93.5. Still looking at a late April/early May return to the Mets’ bullpen.”
Before Thursday’s game, the Mets announced that A.J. Minter will be on a rehab assignment in Single-A.
St. Lucie Mets wrote: “A.J. Minter is scheduled to pitch today on MLB rehab assignment in game 1 at 4:00 pm 👀”
Minter is coming off a year where he had a 1.64 ERA in 13 games for the Mets.
He got hurt during the middle of the 2025 season.

Minter’s MLB Career

Minter was picked in the second round of the 2015 MLB Draft.
He spent the first eight years of his career playing for the Atlanta Braves.
