Bellinger got off to an excellent start to his career with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

He spent six years with the franchise, winning an MVP in 2018 (and World Series in 2020).

The two-time All-Star then had a two-year stint with the Chicago Cubs before joining the Yankees.

Over the offseason, Bellinger was rewarded with a big contract after his first year in New York.

ESPN’s Jeff Passan wrote (on January 21): “Cody Bellinger’s deal with the Yankees is for five years and $162.5 million, sources tell ESPN. There are opt-outs after the second and third season, a $20M signing bonus and a full no-trade clause.”

So far, Bellinger has been an incredible addition to a lineup that already features Aaron Judge.

The 30-year-old could play a major role in the Yankees winning their first World Series title since 2009.
