Yankees Announced Jasson Domínguez Update

The Yankees have been without Jasson Domínguez since May 7.
Before their series with the Rays, the Yankees announced an update on the 23-year-old.
Gary Phillips of NY Daily News Sports wrote: “Aaron Boone said the hope is that Jasson Domínguez, already doing tee and toss hitting, will start to ramp up baseball activities during the #Yankees’ upcoming road trip and potentially be ready for rehab games by the end of the trip/by the time the team gets home.”
Domínguez had been batting .200 with six hits, one home run, four RBI’s and three runs in his first nine games of the 2026 season.
MLB.com wrote of Domínguez: “Injured shoulder crashing into wall making a catch May 7. Received PRP injection May 11. Advanced from pool and weight room activities to hitting off a tee May 20. More tee and toss on May 22. Could play Minor League games first week of June.”

Domínguez has spent part of four seasons in the MLB with the Yankees.
He is a player who is seen as having a lot of potential.
Over 158 career games, Domínguez is batting .245 with 122 hits, 17 home runs, 62 RBI’s, 75 runs and 29 stolen bases.

The Yankees got off to a strong start to the season, but have been struggling as of late.
They are currently 30-22 in 52 games, which has them as the second-place team in the American League East (5.5 games back of the Rays for first).
Over their last ten games, the Yankees have gone 4-6.
That said, they are still 16-9 in 25 games at home.
Following two more games with the Rays, the Yankees will visit the Kansas City Royals on Monday night in Missouri.
