UPDATE: Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reported the latest.
Kuty wrote: “Announcement here is that Giancarlo Stanton left tonight’s game with right lower leg tightness.”
The Yankees have now made the decision to pull Stanton from the game (after an apparent injury).
Gary Phillips of NY Daily News Sports wrote: “Giancarlo Stanton just left the game after running gingerly from 2nd to 3rd on a single. #Yankees”
Stanton had come into the night batting .253 with 22 hits, three home runs, 13 RBI’s and eight runs in his first 23 games of the season.
He is in his ninth year playing for the Yankees.

Yankees Right Now
While all eyes will be on Stanton’s status going forward, the Yankees have been off to an excellent start to the 2026 season.
They are the first-place team in the American League East with a 16-9 record in 25 games.
Following two more games against the Astros, the Yankees will visit the Texas Rangers on Monday evening.
