On Sunday, the New York Yankees will look to win their series with the Toronto Blue Jays in the Bronx.
They are coming off a 4-3 loss on Saturday.
Following the loss, the team announced that they had sent Max Schuemann back to Triple-A.
The Yankees wrote (via X): “Following today’s game, the Yankees optioned INF/OF Max Schuemann to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.”
Bryan Hoch of MLB.com added: “Max Schuemann has been optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. That’s the move to activate Cody Bellinger.”
UPDATE: The Yankees won 8-3.

The 29-year-old is batting .194 with 14 hits, two home runs, eight RBIs, 17 runs and three stolen bases in 41 MLB games this year.
He has also spent two years playing for the Athletics.
