The Yankees continue to play without three-time MVP Aaron Judge, as he has been out since May 31.

MLB.com wrote (on August 20): “Starting hitting progression, including hitting off a tee Aug. 20, which manager Aaron Boone said is going well. Previously, Judge had been performing swing-related pool exercises, playing catch, running outdoors and performing upper-body resistance training.”

Recently, Joel Sherman of The New York Post (via Pinstripe Post) made a bold prediction about Judge.

Sherman: “Nobody has told me a day. But I’ve been around the team, and sometimes when you’re around a team a lot, just how people talk, you can start to get like, ‘Oh, he’s doing this, he’s feeling this,’ and whatever. So they play the Mets September 11th to 13th, I believe. It’s not an unimportant weekend for a variety of reasons, including the 25th anniversary of 9/11. The Yankees and Mets are playing that Friday. If I had to set an over-under, I would set it the day before against Colorado, September 10th. I say like DH September 10th against Colorado… It’s a total kind of gut from talking to people.”

Looking At Judge

Judge was picked in the 1st round of the 2013 MLB Draft.

He has spent all 11 seasons of his career with the Yankees.

Nearly the only thing missing from his resume is a World Series title.

Before getting hurt, the eight-time MLB All-Star had been batting .248 with 53 hits, 17 home runs, 38 RBIs, 43 runs and five stolen bases in 59 games this year.
