Wells Reacts To Yankees Injury News

Ahead of Saturday’s game, the Yankees announced a big update on Giancarlo Stanton.
Bryan Hoch of MLB.com wrote: “Giancarlo Stanton strained his other calf. He fell while running. Moderate grade strain, Aaron Boone said. He may be out for the season.”
Austin Wells was asked about the update on Stanton (via SNY Yankees).
Reporter: “What are your thoughts on what he’s going through this year? He’s now up over 100 games he’s missed.”
Wells: “Just feel terrible for him. I know he wants to be out there every single day with us. So it’s definitely a bummer. It’s another thing there, same thing just hope he can get through it and get back in the lineup when we need him the most here at the end. So I don’t know specifics but you guys might know more than me, but just hoping that he’s able to come back.”
