Philadelphia Phillies Announce Bryce Harper News Before Mariners Series

The Philadelphia Phillies will begin their series against the Seattle Mariners on Monday. The Phillies will be looking to stay hot after winning each of their last nine games.

The Phillies are making some alterations to their lineup for their series opener against the Mariners. This includes with veteran star Bryce Harper.

Harper will once again be batting third for the Phillies against the Mariners, but he will have a different role. This is because he is set to return to right field after being Philadelphia’s DH in their most recent game against the Cardinals.

With Harper moving back to the field, Kyle Schwarber will be Philadelphia’s DH in their series opener against Seattle.

Harper Looking to Stay Hot After Strong Game

Harper is entering this game against Seattle with the hope of keeping his hot streak at the plate going. The 15-year MLB veteran is coming off a strong game for Philadelphia, as he went 2-for-3 against the Cardinals, with two doubles. This is after he hit a home run against St. Louis in the previous game.

Now, Harper’s goal will be to have himself another excellent game for Philadelphia. If he does, it could help the Phillies’ chances of extending their winning streak to 10 games.

Phillies Are Starting to Catch Up to the Braves

Due to their hot stretch of play, the Phillies are starting to get closer to the Atlanta Braves for the top spot in the NL East standings. The Phillies are now just three games behind Atlanta for the first-place spot.

The Braves have also been having their struggles as of late, as they have lost seven out of their last 10 games. Due to this, Philadelphia will be looking to stay red-hot against the Mariners from here.
