The Philadelphia Phillies won 6-4 on Sunday to complete a weekend sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals and extend their winning streak to nine games.
They’ll head to Seattle on Monday to begin a series against the Mariners, with Phillies ace Zack Wheeler set to face Seattle right-hander Logan Gilbert in the opener.
Ahead of the matchup, Philadelphia interim manager Don Mattingly made some notable changes to his starting lineup.
Phillies Announce Brandon Marsh Change
The Phillies held Alec Bohm, Bryson Stott and Luis Arraez out of Sunday’s starting lineup, which moved All-Star Brandon Marsh into the cleanup spot.
Marsh will drop three spots in the order Monday and bat seventh, while Bohm, Arraez and Stott will all return to the starting lineup.

Marsh’s 2026 Season
In his sixth MLB season, Marsh is having the best year of his career by far. He earned his first All-Star selection and has emerged as one of Philadelphia’s most productive hitters.
He’s currently batting .277 across 125 games and 452 at-bats, with 66 runs, 125 hits, 17 home runs and 55 RBIs. He’s also slugging .438 with a .760 OPS.
Looking at the Phillies
Philadelphia has climbed right back into the NL East race, holding a 73-58 record and trailing the Atlanta Braves by just 3.0 games.
Even if the season ended today, the Phillies would still qualify for the postseason as the second Wild Card team. They would travel to Wrigley Field for a best-of-three Wild Card Series against the Chicago Cubs.
