The World Baseball Classic starts in a month, and Team USA is looking like one of the best rosters assembled on paper. With twice as many stars that participated in 2023, when the United States lost to Japan in the final, the U.S. might be the frontrunner to win, headed into the international baseball event that starts in March.
Team USA kicks off its pool play bracket against Brazil on Friday, March 6. They follow that up with matchups against Great Britain, Mexico, and Italy. While many of USA’s players have already announced they will play for the team, on Thursday, the full rosters were due for every participating team. Some of the biggest names for the U.S. squad include Aaron Judge, Tarik Skubal, Paul Skenes, Kyle Schwarber, Cal Raleigh, and many more.

That is a pretty loaded roster. USA had a great cast of MLB all-stars in 2023, as they should always have when the WBC comes around, but Skenes had not broke into MLB yet, and USA lacked arms in the rotation and bullpen. Now, there are reinforcements like Skubal, Mason Miller, Skenes, and Logan Webb.
There are plenty of options at manager DeRosa’s disposal.

Thoughts on USA’s Roster?
I could write several articles on this Team USA, but my curiosity lies in what the masses think about this Team USA roster. Would it be considered a failure if this team doesn’t bring home the WBC crown? Is this the best roster ever assembled? Who is USA’s biggest threat?
To have a lineup that is likely going to feature a combined about 450 home runs from the 2025 season, these are the most feared hitters on the planet, and at least for pool play, it’s going to be really tough for opposing pitchers.
This is a very entertaining event across baseball, and one that I think every baseball fan across the world is looking forward to.
