On Saturday, the Toronto Blue Jays are playing the second game of their series with the New York Yankees in the Bronx.

They will look to bounce back after losing by a score of 3-1 on Friday.

Earlier this week, the Blue Jays designated Matt Waldron for assignment.

It’s now been announced that Waldron has been claimed by the Washington Nationals.

The Blue Jays wrote (via X): “ROSTER MOVE: 🔹 RHP Matt Waldron has been claimed off waivers by the Nationals”

Waldron only appeared in four games for the Blue Jays.
