Ahead of their series with the Phillies, the Blue Jays got a big update on Nolan Perry.
He had recently been coming off an injury.
Mitch Bannon of The Athletic wrote (on August 7): “Nolan Perry returned to the mound in AA last night for the 1st time since taking a line drive off the head. He threw 3 no-hit innings with 4K, 1BB. Almost certain he’ll be added to #BlueJays 40-man roster this winter. 2.29 ERA across 15 outings, and a 0 ERA in three AA games.”
Bannon also added: “Took a come-backer off the head on July 19 in AA. Somehow avoided catastrophic injury, but has been on the concussion IL since, before last night.”

Perry is currently ranked as the team’s second best prospect.
