Kyle Busch did what Kyle Busch does at Atlanta.

“Rowdy” held off teammate Carson Hocevar to win Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at EchoPark Speedway, capturing his fourth consecutive Truck Series victory at the Atlanta track.

Busch’s No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet led 37 of 125 laps in the Fr8 Racing 208. The race was shortened by 10 laps because of a pre-race time limit following weather delays. Busch crossed the finish line 0.114 seconds ahead of Hocevar in a tight drafting finish.

It was Busch’s first Truck Series win of the season, his ninth total in the series at Atlanta, and the 68th Truck Series victory of his career.

Race Recap

The event ran under a time limit after earlier weather disrupted the schedule. NASCAR announced before the green flag that the race would expire at 4:20 p.m. ET, with no overtime attempts permitted.

Ben Rhodes led a race-high 70 laps but ran out of fuel in the closing laps of Stage 2. The setback dropped him deep in the field before he rallied to finish inside the top five.

Hocevar made a late push in the final green-flag run but was unable to clear Busch before the checkered flag.

Gio Ruggiero finished third, followed by Rhodes and Corey Heim to complete the top five. Chandler Smith, Jake Garcia, John Hunter Nemechek, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and Justin Haley rounded out the top 10.

The Craftsman Truck Series now heads to its first street course event at St. Petersburg next weekend.
