Ryan Blaney secured his third win of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season Sunday, earning a dominant victory in the Dollar Tree 301 at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway after holding off a hard-charging Bubba Wallace in the closing laps.
The Team Penske star has now been the victor of the last two Cup Series races at New Hampshire. Blaney paced the field for a race-high 115 of 301 laps en route to his 20th career victory.
Wallace finished second, followed by Josh Berry in third, Christopher Bell in fourth, and Kyle Larson rounded out the top five.
The Dollar Tree 301 was an eventful race and one that saw wet-weather tires.
The race was pushed up one hour due to the threat of rain as the green flag was set to wave just after 2 p.m. ET. However, the race would be delayed anyway as NASCAR waited until the rain stopped before getting underway.
The race got going just after 3 p.m. ET and the field was on wet-weather tires due to the damp track surface.
Tyler Reddick, who started on the pole, spun out on the opening lap. Despite the early setback, the driver of the No. 45 bounced back to finish eighth.
The field ran wet-weather tires for the opening 40 laps until a competition caution came out to change to slicker tires as the 1.0-mile track had dried up.
It was a rough day for Carson Hocevar after finishing third in stage one. Following a slow pit stop at the end of the opening stage that mired him back in traffic, Hocevar spun out in the opening laps of stage two after contact with Connor Zilisch.
Hocevar proceeded to go as far as two laps behind and spun out again in the final stage, triggering a caution. The driver of the No. 77 wound up finishing 19th in another difficult race for the Spire Motorsports driver.
William Byron had misfortunes, too. Running inside the top five with 68 laps to go, the driver of the No. 24 suffered a violent crash after the left rear tire fell off his Hendrick Motorsports machine. Byron ended up finishing 30th, five laps down.
