For Sunday’s game, the Warriors have announced that they will be without Porzingis.

Underdog NBA wrote: “Kristaps Porzingis (illness management) listed out for Sunday.”

Knicks fans will likely be upset with the news, as Porzingis had spent the first part of his career in New York.

He made the 2018 NBA All-Star Game (in his third season).

In addition to the Warriors, Hawks and Knicks, the 11-year veteran has also had stints with the Dallas Mavericks, Washington Wizards and Boston Celtics.

When he’s been healthy, Porzingis is one of the best 50 players in the league.

He helped lead the Celtics to the 2024 title over the Mavs.

ESPN’s Shams Charania wrote (on February 4): “The Golden State Warriors are trading Jonathan Kuminga and Buddy Hield to the Atlanta Hawks for Kristaps Porzingis, sources tell ESPN.”
