Golden State Warriors superstar guard Steph Curry has suffered through an incredibly disappointing 2025-26 NBA season.
At the beginning of the year, Curry and the Warriors were expected to be a serious contender in the Western Conference. Unfortunately, injuries have completely derailed their season.
It all started with Jimmy Butler going down for the year with a torn ACL. Curry has now missed a lot of time due to a knee injury. He hasn’t been able to play in a game since January 30.
Most recently, Golden State saw talented guard Moses Moody go down with a gruesome knee injury. The team simply hasn’t been able to catch a break on the injury front this year.
With that being said, one of Curry’s major NBA records is at risk of being broken.

As shared by StatMuse on X, Charlotte Hornets rookie guard Kon Knueppel is currently on pace to break Curry’s record for highest three-point percentage by a player with three or more threes made per game.

Curry is widely viewed as the best three-point shooter in NBA history. He has records that will not be broken anytime soon. However, the rookie is in hot pursuit.
Knueppel has started off his NBA career with a bang. He has the Hornets looking like a potential playoff team this season.
In 71 games played this season, the 20-year-old former Duke standout has connected on 247 three-point shots and has shot 43.6 percent from the arc. He has averaged 19 points per game to go along with 5.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists.
Latest Warriors Update on Steph Curry’s Health
Fans have been anxiously awaiting Curry’s return to the court. Each and every update provided on his status seems to be a negative update.
On Tuesday, March 24, head coach Steve Kerr provided an update on Curry.
“Well, the scrimmage was pushed back, and I think the plan is for him to scrimmage this week,” Kerr said. “Rick is really monitoring all of this. He’s in charge, and he just felt that day that we should push it back a couple of days.”
Kerr also provided insight into how the team is viewing Curry’s injury. They have no interest in rushing him back onto the court.
“If we don’t feel good about it, then he’s not going to play,” Kerr said. “We’re not pushing him into anything if things aren’t really clear.”
Currently, the Golden State Warriors hold a 34-38 record. If the season were to end today, Golden State would hold the No. 10 seed in the Western Conference and would be the final team in the NBA Play-In Tournament.
