Just before the featured Sunday night events of the 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend began, a report emerged on Houston Rockets’ star Kevin Durant and his alleged use of a burner account, in which he is speculated to make multiple wild comments about the league, both current and former teammates, and thoughts about himself.
The Future Hall of Fame forward and two-time Finals MVP’s alleged use of a burner account is nothing new, as he’s come under fire in the past for his social media use, but the latest report on Durant’s new account features comments that harshly criticize players in a new light that paint him in a much darker picture than ever before.
Some of the players Durant mentioned in reported messages sent from his burner account, called ‘GetHigher77‘ on X.com, include former teammates Stephen Curry, Kyrie Irving, James Harden, Devin Booker, and head coach Steve Kerr, as well as current teammates Jabari Smith and Alperen Sengun.
The alleged messages caught the internet by storm, and while the account from which those messages were sent has now gone private, neither Durant or anyone else has either addressed, confirmed, or denied the latest rumors about his new burner account.
Pictures and videos of Durant on his phone in between Sunday night’s All-Star games emerged in what many have speculated was the star reacting to the news of his burner account and the subsequent comments being brought to light.
Kevin Durant Burner Account On Old Teammates And Coaches
As mentioned, Durant isn’t new to allegedly using a burner account, and his use of his own social media account has come under fire over the past few years, whether it be for responding to random fans, NBA media members, or just comments about current events in general.
But this time, the alleged comments Durant has made take a much darker turn.
Here are a few of the things Durant said in group chats from the ‘GetHigher77‘ account.
Firstly, Durant talked about his former team, the Phoenix Suns, and co-star Booker, along with former coach Frank Vogel.
“Two dictators. Stalin and Hitler. Mussolini and Kim Jung-Un,” Durant said about Booker and Vogel. “The Suns are my team when we lose and Books team when we win.”
He also had harsh comments about Kerr and Curry from his days with the Golden State Warriors from 2016-2019.
“Since MJ punched Kerr in the face he don’t (expletive) with darkskins,” Durant said of Kerr. “Steve Kerr hasn’t drawn up one play or suggested anything but he’s a 3 time champ.”
“I started holding Steph accountable in film and (expletive) look at me like this,” he also wrote. “If u don’t screen and pass up shots for Steph. U gettin waived.”
Durant also made comments about former teammates Irving, Harden, Russell Westbrook. He called Westbrook a ‘triple-double cocaine bear‘ and described Harden as ‘slightly delusional.’
Durant isn’t new to the burner-verse, and his comments shared over the past few years indicate that while the superstar has been outward about his social media use in the past, it was perhaps going further than anyone thought.
Kevin Durant Burner Account On Sengun And Smith
While the previous comments, of which those just shared were only a few, what might be most notable are the alleged things Durant said about his current teammates on the Rockets, in Sengun and Smith.
Smith was a big fan of Durant growing up, and now, on the same team, the 2014 MVP doesn’t appear to share that same sentiment. In yet another comment found on the internet, he slammed the 24-year-old forward who looked up to him as a kid.
“Jabari is seriously in his head,” he wrote. “He’s not mentally strong.”
“I can’t trust Jabari to make a (expletive) shot or make a shot,” Durant added. “He’s lowkey (expletive).”
Durant also commented on Sengun, one of Houston’s top players and the future of the franchise.
“Coach called that play to pass to Alpi lol,” Durant said of Sengun. “Ima turn the ball over with this (double-expletive) team. Idgaf. Your franchise player can’t shoot or defend. That’s a wayyyyyyy bigger issue than my turnovers. Remember, these guys are your future.”
Durant also said he would be better on the Charlotte Hornets right now rather than the Rockets. Houston has a 33-20 record at the All-Star break, but the star is allegedly not happy with his team and teammates right now.
The full list of what is now being deemed the ‘Kevin Durant files‘ can be found through searches on X. According to one user, Durant had at least one mention of all the following players: Irving, Nikola Jokic, Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Luka Doncic, Harden, Sengun, Smith, including coaches Vogel and Kerr.
While he’s not new to using and being caught with a burner account, the reports that emerged over the All-Star Weekend are perhaps the biggest news on the star player’s social media use in his 18 seasons in the NBA.
