The Toronto Raptors are one of the hottest teams in the NBA. They have won eight straight games, and most of their guys have stayed healthy. Only R.J. Barrett has been dealing with some injury issues, and he has a knee injury.
Brandon Ingram has played in all of the games so far this year, which is huge. With no clear favorite in the Eastern Conference, the Raptors could look to make a move to be a true contender for the Conference title.
One trade proposal from Bleacher Report has the Raptors adding Ja Morant in what would be a high-risk, high-reward move.

Raptors Trade For Ja Morant in Bold Trade Proposal
Here is the full trade proposal: Ja Morant to the Toronto Raptors for Immanuel Quickley, Gradey Dick, a 2026 second-round pick (via LAL), and a 2028 first-round pick (top-three protected).
Adding Morant would certainly create some possible struggles. Morant has had a history of injuries, as he has played just 71 games in the last three seasons. Part of that has been a lengthy suspension that Morant received for off-court behavior, as well.
When Morant has been on the court this season, he hasn’t been very good. He is essentially putting up career lows across the board. On the flipside, Quickley is putting up career-high numbers in shooting percentage and steals.
At his best, Morant is a dynamic scorer and distributor who can transform a franchise. At his worst, he’s a malcontent who doesn’t play enough games because of various injuries. That is the dance that the Raptors would have to thread, especially if they give up a future first-round pick.

The Raptors Could Make a Big Trade This Year
Even if the Raptors don’t decide to trade for Morant, they could be inclined to make a big move. Currently, Toronto sits second in the Eastern Conference standings. With no clear favorite to come out of the East, the Raptors could try to take advantage of that.
If the Raptors are confident that Ingram can stay healthy for the entire season, adding a superstar player like Morant is a worthy gamble. Morant is still just 26 years old, so he’s someone the team can incorporate for years to come. It would also move Scottie Barnes off the ball a little more.
Toronto will wait to see around the trade deadline if this streak of good play is a mirage or for real.
