There’s a lot of new for the Atlanta Falcons this offseason. They hired a new head coach (Kevin Stefanski), signed a new quarterback (Tua Tagovailoa), and are ushering in a new era for the franchise after a few underwhelming seasons despite an improving roster. Incumbent QB Michael Penix Jr. will still have a chance to compete for the starting job — once he’s healed up from that torn ACL and MCL, of course — but new is the theme of the offseason in Atlanta.
That said, one thing won’t be changing: Bijan Robinson is still awesome. The former No. 8 overall pick is coming off his best season as a pro, looking like the high-impact star running back he was projected to be coming out of college at Texas. Robinson had 1,456 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns in 2024, following that up with 1,478 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in 2025. In that same span, the Falcons got Robinson the ball in that passing game, too, and he caught a combined 140 passes for 1,251 yards and five touchdowns.
Robinson spoke to the media at OTAs on Tuesday about his new role in Stefanski’s offense.

Stefanski is coming off a stint as the head coach of the Browns, and while he was there, Nick Chubb became a star. Robinson reflected on that, among other things, in his media appearance at OTAs.
“We take a lot of pride the run game,” Robinson said. “A lot of pride. And like you just said, it helps everybody. It helps the defense, it helps the quarterback, the receivers. When we’re a lethal run game — and even the schemes we have out here right now, it’s pretty impressive to now be running this, and to see how [Falcons offensive line coach Bill] Callahan does everything.”
“Obviously, he’s had these legendary run schemes, and it’s pretty cool just talking to him and seeing how it’s all going to develop. But this is what I did in college. I love the plan that he has. Even just my development in the NFL…it’s going to be fun.”
“Hey, I’m trying to help the team,” Robinson said with a laugh in response to a question asking if the scheme was just getting him a bunch of touches. “I mean, there you go.”

“I mean, I’ve been watching [Nick Chubb] for a long time,” Robinson continued. “But yeah, with the scheme now, seeing how he set up everything and in the offenses [the Browns] had, he created a lot of explosive [plays].”
“He was like the number one explosive back at the time, so I love to see that and hear it. But yeah, it just looks so simple for the run schemes that they ran, and they all made it look so easy, and he became who he was in the NFL. So that’s why I appreciate doing that with [the coaches].”
