Trade Prediction Sends 8-Time Pro Bowler Tyreek Hill to Falcons

Could the Atlanta Falcons be on the verge of one of the boldest moves of the 2025 NFL season?

In a recent set of predictions, Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton outlined a blockbuster scenario that would send Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, an eight time Pro Bowler and one of the fastest players in league history, to Atlanta in exchange for a 2026 third round pick and wideout Darnell Mooney.

Why Hill Could Be on the Move

The Dolphins 2025 outlook carries real uncertainty. Between Weeks 2 and 4, Miami faces three straight divisional games, a stretch that could decide whether they’re in the playoff chase or drifting toward a reset. If losses pile up early, frustration could mount quickly.

Hill has already hinted at a lack of patience. After Miami missed the postseason in 2024, the veteran publicly voiced his displeasure, and his contract situation doesn’t help. With no guaranteed money left on the final year of his deal, he holds little incentive to endure another season of disappointment.

That’s where Moton’s prediction comes into play. His proposal would send Hill to Atlanta in exchange for a 2026 third round pick and wideout Darnell Mooney, who is still working back from a shoulder injury. Miami would gain draft capital and a veteran receiver if healthy, while Hill would land with a team that looks more like a contender than a rebuild project.

Why Atlanta Fits the Bill

QB Michael Penix Jr. and WR Drake London

The Falcons are uniquely positioned to be aggressive. With Michael Penix Jr. on a rookie contract, Atlanta has flexibility to take on Hill’s deal or even negotiate an extension. That kind of window is exactly when smart teams make big swings before their quarterback becomes expensive.

On the field, the fit is obvious. Adding Hill to an offense that already features Drake London and Kyle Pitts would give Atlanta a three headed receiving corps that few defenses could match. And with running back Bijan Robinson, this offensive would be one of the league’s best on paper.

London’s contested catch ability, Pitts’ versatility, and Hill’s unmatched speed would give Penix multiple dynamic targets and allow head coach Raheem Morris to stress defenses in ways the Falcons haven’t been able to in years.

It’s also about keeping pace with the competition. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers enter 2025 as division favorites, and Atlanta knows it needs to match their offensive firepower. Hill’s presence could flip that dynamic, giving the Falcons the kind of explosive weapon that changes game plans weekly.

For now, it’s just a scenario on paper. But the idea of Hill in black and red, turning play action shots from Penix into touchdowns and giving defenses major struggles alongside London and Pitts, is enough to fire up Falcons fans and change how the NFC South is viewed heading into the season.
