After having the day off, the Baltimore Ravens are back on the practice field for training camp, but will be short of a few guys.

The Ravens went into training camp with a ton of injuries on defense, specifically with the front seven. Since then, though, they have slowly been getting a lot of those guys back on the field, like Nnamdi Madubuike and John Jenkins.

Plenty of players have not returned and are working their way back onto the field. It appears there is no timeline for when some of these guys will be back.

Ravens Reporter Reveals Latest Status Update at Training Camp

The Athletic Ravens reporter Jeff Zrebiec shared the latest update on the team’s injuries. Zebriec showed who was not on the field for Saturday’s practice.

“Ravens I don’t see practicing: WR Dayton Wade, ILBs Carl Jones, Teddye Buchanan ( PUP), DL Calais Campbell, Aeneas Peebles, NT Travis Jones (PUP), DB Matthew McDoom. One of those above guys could have been waived to make room for Jamon Johnson who is practicing.”

Zrebiec has since reported that McDoom was released from the team, with Johnson taking his place. Johnson is coming off a short stint last season with the Green Bay Packers.

Buchanan and Jones being out is why Johnson got signed by the Ravens in the first place. Their not being at practice really hurts the depth of the linebackers in Baltimore.

While there are key starters back on the defensive line, Jones and Campbell are going to play big roles in 2026. The hope is that they can get on the practice field soon enough.

Ravens Facing Some Tough Injury Concerns in Training Camp Early On

Jesse Minter, Ravens injury news

GettyBaltimore Ravens head coach Jesse Minter dropped an injury update about “an ascending player” at a “very thin” position at training camp.

There’s no reason to panic after almost two weeks of work, as the team hasn’t even hit the preseason yet. It would be nice to see some of these guys off the PUP list and back on the field soon.

They are one week away from their first preseason game, as they face the Philadelphia Eagles. Going up against a team that has been to two Super Bowls in four years, the Ravens better come prepared.

Depth is going to be a big thing to monitor over the next week. Baltimore may or may not play their starters for that first game. If they do, it won’t be for very long.

That means the new guys they bring in and the backups filling in for starters need to step up. They are all fighting for spots on the 53-man roster.

Baltimore wishes they were healthier going into game week, but they hope that a lot will change over the next few days.
