“Finish, y’know? Strain, finish, be us. Be us. Know who we are, know what we’ve been doing. Know who we are, and go in there and play a good game of ball.”

Those were the strong words of Buffalo Bills LT Dion Dawkins in his press conference on Thursday, discussing what Buffalo needs to do to get revenge against the Patriots on Sunday. Back in Week 5, New England stamped their mark on the 2025 NFL season by going into Buffalo and securing the upset, putting the league on notice that they needed to be taken seriously as contenders.

Since that game, the Patriots haven’t lost. They’re currently riding a 10-game winning streak, sitting at 11-2 and in the driver’s seat for the AFC East. Meanwhile, the Bills have won two straight but are 9-4 on the year, two games behind the Patriots in a division the Bills have won five years in a row. Sunday’s game is huge for both sides, and Dawkins knows what Buffalo needs to do.

“The Patriots have done a good job this year of playing football the right way,” Dawkins said. “They’ve got that new coach and they’re booming, so we respect it. And we know that the energy that is involved, and we just gotta focus on us. Keeping winning practices, keep winning bonding sessions, and go out there and play for one another. Continue to leave it all on the field. Play like 17 [Bills QB Josh Allen].”

“I didn’t even know that that existed,” said Dawkins on the fact that the Patriots would clinch the division with a win over the Bills on Sunday. “So thinking about it now…life goes, it’s a rollercoaster. We’ve been winning for a long time — to an extent. So we know how to win, we know what to do. So if this is their hats and t-shirts game, then our job is to win a football game and stop a hat and t-shirt game. But, good for them.”

Bills QB Josh Allen’s best games this season have come against QBs Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, and Baker Mayfield. That’s quite the elite run of quarterbacks.

“You guys be knowing some stats,” Dawkins said with a smile when asked about this. “That’s insane. So his best games come from those opponents? Wow….that is a fact that I did not know, so I guess…good job Josh Allen. Good job Josh Allen.”

“It says what it is. I know that every those familiar names are the ones that are in the MVP race and stuff like that, you know. Who knows? Maybe he puts a little extra umph on it. But I can’t even say that, because Josh gives his all every game.”
