Cleveland Browns star pass rusher Myles Garrett isn’t thrilled with the team’s Week 2 blowout loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

The Browns suffered a 41-17 road loss to the Ravens to fall to 0-2 on the season. It was a dominating loss as Baltimore outscored Cleveland in every quarter, including outscoring the Browns 31-14 in the second half.

Following the loss, Garrett had a simple two-word comment on the loss.

“S***’s embarrassing,” Garrett said.

It’s clear that Garrett wasn’t happy with any part of the Browns‘ game. Cleveland’s offense struggled to move the ball, while the defense had a hard time containing Lamar Jackson, who threw for four touchdowns.

The Browns also made critical errors, which led to more points, which coach Kevin Stefanski wasn’t happy about.

“Very disappointed in that result,” Stefanski said. “We gave them 21 points via blocked punt, fumble recovery, and interception. It’s hard to win when you do that.”

Garrett, meanwhile, finished the game with 1.5 sacks as he once again made an impact, but it wasn’t enough to help Cleveland get the win.

Garrett Was ‘Fired’ Up to Play Ravens

Ahead of Cleveland’s Week 2 game, Garrett says he was fired up to play the Ravens.

Garrett knew limiting Jackson and Derrick Henry was going to be a challenge, but he was eager to try to do it.

Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson, Ronnie Stanley, (Roger) Rosengarden. I mean, I don’t want to leave out Zay Flowers, but all those guys give me juice to go down there and play the very best ball,” Garrett said on Sept. 12. “So being able to go against the best competition, many pundits and critics saying that they’re the best team in the AFC, that kind of stuff gets me fired up to go against them. I don’t need much more than that.”

Not only did the Ravens offense fire Garrett up, but so too did the odds.

The Browns were 12.5-point underdogs and Garrett was well aware of that, as he likes being the underdog and counted out.

“It was 12 and a half, last time I checked. But yeah, that definitely goes to my mind when we’re working throughout the week,” Garrett said.

Garrett signed a four-year, $160 million deal extension with the Browns this offseason.

Browns Benched Flacco in Week 2 Loss

Part of the reason for Cleveland being blown out was the poor play from the offense and Joe Flacco.

Flacco was benched in the game, but despite that, he isn’t worried about his job status ahead of Week 3.

“I can’t worry about that stuff anyway. It’s honestly not on my mind,” Flacco said. “I gotta go out there and just play my game, play the way I know how to lead this team the best I can. All that other stuff is out of my control. It is what it is.”

Flacco went 25-for-45 for 199 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception in the blowout loss. He was also sacked twice.

Stefanski also confirmed after the game that Flacco will be the Browns’ starting quarterback in Week 3.
