One Detroit Lions star has shared personal news as the team's offseason kicks in and as the team preps for the 2026-27 run.

The Detroit Lions are officially in the offseason, and even though the team’s 2025-26 season ended early and not the way they wanted it to end, that leaves time for more personal news. Now, one Detroit Lions favorite has announced such news, and it’s a happy moment for him and his family.

As the season wrapped up, Lions head coach Dan Campbell emphasized that he still believes in this team, even though they didn’t make it to the postseason. Speaking to reporters on Sunday, January 4, after the team’s win over the Bears, with a 19-16 final score, he said that he believes “things happen for a reason, right wrong or indifferent. And just when something like this happens, I believe it’s going to be for the best.”

“It’s up to Brad (Holmes) and I to make it for the best and the guys that we know we’re going to count on on this team. So that’s how I view it,” he added. “Because as good as it felt to get that and it’s the last one, it’s — I mean, let’s call it what it is, pretty pissed all week.”

Campbell concluded, “It’s a bad feeling. Now going into the playoffs and you get to watch everybody else go while you’re sitting at home. It’s frustrating. So that’s what fuels you. We don’t want to be doing that again next year. That’s not where we want to be. We have got to get in.”

Happy News for a Detroit Lions Player

The Detroit Lions brought on Alex Anzalone on March 24, 2021, at the time signing him to a one-year free-agent deal and coming from the New Orleans Saints. His addition brought leadership and depth to the linebacker position.

Now, Anzalone is officially a father of three. On Tuesday, January 13, the Detroit Lions took to social media to announce that Anzalone and his wife had their third baby together.

“Congratulations to the Anzalones,” the Detroit Lions stated.

“Love for my boy, congrats, Alex,” one commenter said. “Congratulations Anzalone family. Whatever the future brings, I will always be an Anzalone fan,” another added referring to the possibility that he won’t resign with the Lions.

So, both the baby and mother are doing well, and that’s a beautiful thing. Now, let’s get that baby a Detroit Lions jersey.

Dan Campbell Says Detroit Lions Win ‘Reaffirmed’ What He Know

After the Lions’ win over the Bears in Week 18, Campbell said that he wasn’t surprised by the win. He expects it of his team, and it just reaffirmed what he always knew.

“No, I think it reaffirmed. You know, we’ll know some things just watching the tape about how some of these guys, particularly some of the young guys,” Campbell told reporters. “But the guys that I knew we could count on showed up again, you know, one more time, which didn’t surprise me one bit.”

He added, I still believe the nucleus of this team is right. I really do. But we are going to need to make a few changes. Not just talking about that. It will be collectively. We’re going to have to work through some things to get the best version of ourselves.”
