Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown responded after a fan wearing his jersey crashed into the Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

A crazy incident unfolded on Friday evening at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport in the nearby Detroit suburb of Romulus, as a vehicle crashed right through the McNamara Terminal near Delta Air Lines’ check-in counters at approximately 7:30 p.m. ET.

The vehicle’s driver, a man wearing a Amon-Ra St. Brown Detroit Lions jersey, was immediately taken into custody by airport security. The cause of the crash is now under investigation by the Wayne County Airport Authority.

In response to the incident, St. Brown himself, who is very active on social media, had a four-word response:

“Damn dawg. You straight ?” St. Brown wrote on Instagram.

The good news is that it doesn’t appear that anyone suffered any serious injury, and that airport operations weren’t impacted.

Per reports, there were six people who were treated at the scene for precautionary reasons.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Recently Called Out Detroit Lions Fans For Their Reaction To Drew Petzing’s Hiring As OC

The Lions recently hired former Arizona Cardinals offensive coordinator Drew Petzing to fill the role vacated by the recently terminated John Morton.

After there were multiple concerns expressed by Lions fans about the hire, St. Brown targeted those with concern on his podcast and told them to simply relax and let the situation play itself out.

“I see Lions fans talking crazy like, ‘Why would we do this?’ Bro. Do you guys have no trust in Dan (Campbell) and the Lions? You think they would just hire a random dude? Be for real. You think they don’t know what they’re doing, they don’t do their research, they don’t interview?” he opined.

“Most of you guys don’t know really much about anything, about any ball,” he continued, which naturally caused more controversy. “And you’re tweeting about a coach that was hired that you guys don’t like because of XYZ? It’s just funny to me to see. Don’t get me wrong, I love all Lions fans, but they are so quick to make judgments about who we hired, who we did this… Just relax, calm down. Let the whole thing play out. Just let it play out. Just relax. That’s all I got to say. Relax, man.”

The comments from the star Lions wideout drew even more controversy, especially after his perceived slight against the fans, who have turned out in droves to support the club after their uptick in success.

The Lions Missed The Playoffs After A 9-8 2025 Season

The Lions entered the 2025 NFL season with reasonably high expectations after having finished each of the previous two seasons in first place in the NFC North Division, coupled with a pristine 15-2 record in 2024.

However, multiple ailments on the offensive line along with badly inconsistent play ultimately resulted in the Lions missing the postseason for the first time since 2023.

There have already been considerable changes to the team, as Morton, who had his play calling duties taken away by head coach Dan Campbell midway through the season, was officially let go.

Additionally, longtime Lions offensive tackle Dan Skipper officially announced his retirement from the NFL.
