Kylie Kelce is clearing up one of Jason Kelce’s recent jokes about his emotional reaction at Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding.
During the August 6 episode of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast, Kylie responded after her husband joked in a recent SportsRadio 94WIP interview that he cried more at the Kansas City Chiefs‘ star’s wedding than he did during his own wedding in 2018.
While Jason made the comment with his trademark humor, Kylie said listeners were missing the full context behind why he became emotional during the ceremony and made it clear that he was just as emotional on their wedding day.

“I probably cried more at this wedding than I did at my own wedding.” 😂
Speaking on SportsRadio 94WIP, Jason admitted that he became emotional while watching Travis marry Swift at Madison Square Garden.
“I did cry. I probably cried more this wedding than I cried at my own wedding, which probably is not acceptable,” Jason joked. “Kylie is probably not happy about that.”
Kylie quickly corrected the record on her podcast.
“Don’t worry, my husband cried plenty at his own wedding — regardless of what his comments were recently,” she said.
The mother of four joked that she had always expected tears from Jason when she walked down the aisle.
“Guys, think about this. First of all, there was a moment in time where I said if he didn’t tear up when I started walking down the aisle, I would go back and start again, knowing that someone would have obviously punched him in the nose between me restarting and he would have been crying when I walked down the aisle.”

After the joke, Kylie encouraged listeners to remember the circumstances surrounding Travis and Swift’s wedding.
“Obviously, my husband cried during our wedding. He did,” she said. “I think that goes without being said because he’s cried a couple other places because he feels his emotions, okay?”
She then explained why the ceremony was especially meaningful for Jason.
“He cried at his brother’s wedding for many reasons. It was touching,” Kylie said. “It was very loving to see all of the things that were happening, but take this into consideration — because no one’s thinking about this — think about getting to watch your four daughters be flower girls. Okay? That’s all the information you get.”
Kylie acknowledged that Jason was far from the only emotional family member.
“It was emotional and he was not the only adult crying in our family,” she said before adding, “Guilty. Mmkay? Come on. Be for real.”
She also joked that teasing her husband over the moment remains part of their marriage.
“I’ve given him (expletive) about it, and yes, I will continue to,” she said. “‘Cause that is my right as his wife.”

The podcast episode also included a lighthearted conversation about Travis’ relationship with Kylie and Jason’s four daughters: Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett and Finnley.
When asked which child has Uncle Trav “most tightly wrapped around their finger,” Kylie said the answer changes depending on the day.
“I think it changes,” she said. “I think that they all know that he is very down for anything they ask him to do or play. He’s in it.”
She added that Travis is usually ready for whatever game the girls want to play.
“So, they know that he’s a willing participant and very rarely [gets] a no. So, typically, when they see Uncle Trav, it’s everybody in.”
Kylie said the only exception is her youngest daughter, Finnley.
“That’s because Finn wants nothing to do with anybody but mom and dad, sometimes dad, sometimes not dad,” Kylie explained. “Uncle Trav doesn’t have Finn. That’s it. But that’s just because Finn is mom’s child.”
She added that her older daughters immediately recruit Travis whenever they see him.
“I know you guys want a specific answer, but I think it’s all of them,” Kylie said.
Kylie explained that Wyatt and Elliotte enjoy the energetic style of play that both Jason and Travis naturally bring.
“I would say the two older girls are more into the type of all in play that both dad and Uncle Trav play,” she said. “And Uncle Trav will get down on the floor and play a quiet game of Barbies, but he will do, like, the throw launch, all that stuff. And the two older girls are more into that.”
Her youngest daughter, Bennett, has different interests.
“Bennett, she’s a lady, and she has pearls, and she can’t be bothered with that type of play,” Kylie said.
The comments came just weeks after Kylie congratulated Travis and Swift on their marriage during an earlier episode of “Not Gonna Lie.”
“I would like to say congratulations to Tay and Trav, it was magical,” Kylie said at the time. “I’m so happy for them, love them so, so dearly. It was only making it official because Taylor’s been family now for quite some time.”
