Fans are thrilled over the latest Taylor Swift news.

As the official start of the new league year approaches, Travis Kelce’s silence over his future in the league has many analysts thinking he’s planning to return next season.

Out of respect for the Chiefs, Kelce promised to announce his retirement decision before free agency starts on March 11. As of March 7, two days before the negotiating period opens for pending free agents, the 36-year-old tight end remains tight-lipped on the matter.

“He has sort of a busy offseason coming up with his engagement and marriage, so we want to be respectful and give him the time he needs to make a decision,” Chiefs owner Clark Hunt said in January. “But we certainly hope that he’ll be back.”

While details of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding plans remain under wraps, a new development emerged regarding his career. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported this week, “There has been some discussion about a potential contract,” as Kelce’s two-year, $34.25 million contract expired.

With signs pointing toward Kelce announcing his return to Kansas City in the next few days, Swift is planning a big release.

Taylor Swift’s Next Single Will Be Released on March 10

After Swift announced an exclusive 7-inch vinyl release of the song, “Elizabeth Taylor,” for Record Store Day (April 18) earlier this week, fans assumed this would be the next single off her 2025 album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”

Hits Daily Double confirmed rumors in their Radio Chart Preview on March 7. “Debuts this week include [sic] Republic’s Taylor Swift with ‘Elizabeth Taylor.'”

Fans were ecstatic over the news and what it means. Swift released music videos and new remixes for the album’s two previous singles, “The Fate of Ophelia” and “Opalite.” Fans hope that the 14-time Grammy winner drops a new music video in tandem with the official release of “Elizabeth Taylor” on March 10.

Both “Opalite” and “The Fate of Ophelia” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and “Elizabeth Taylor” looks to follow suit.

Swift revealed during an interview with Z100’s Elvis Duran Show, “There’s a song called ‘Elizabeth Taylor,’ which is sort of my emotions and my issues with fame through the lens of cosplaying the life of Elizabeth Taylor, so you kind of meld the two experiences together.”

The pop star said of the two-time Oscar winner and late Hollywood icon, “She is always someone that I’ve looked up to as being this very glamorous, very beloved, but for some reason a polarizing figure, which I found myself in that place, too.”

Travis Kelce Helped Produce the Remix of Taylor Swift’s ‘Opalite’

Kelce played a key role in the DJ Chris Lake’s remix of her hit single, “Opalite,” a song inspired by her romance with Kelce.

Swift gave Kelce credit for his work in a rare public post, referring to her future husband as her “in-house house guy.” The remixed track soared to No. 1 on iTunes, which Lake celebrated on Instagram.

Kelce commented on the post, “Immediately to the top of the charts!! 🔥🔥 bout to tune into the studio session right now!” Swift added in the comments section, “These videos make me as happy as your remix does – so excited the fans are loving it too!! Appreciate you!!”
