What Did the Swift Announcement Say?
According to information released by the radio network iHeart, Swift will appear at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Thursday, March 26.
The appearance will be her first at an awards show this year, and first since announcing her engagement to Kelce last August.
Swift’s attendance at the show raised an immediate question: Will Kelce accompany her to the show at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles? The answer to that question has not been made public, but fans will have to wait no more than one week to find out, with the iHeartRadio Awards show set for just seven days after the announcement that Swift will be there.
Will Taylor Swift Perform Live at the iHeart Show?
According to the Daily Mail reporting, Swift has not been seen in public in any official capacity since her promotional series of talk show appearances last October because she has been “nesting” with Kelce as they plan and prepare for their wedding. Swift has been laying low since appearing on U.S. late-night talk shows, as well as overseas to promote her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl.
She also made public promotional appearances to support the release of her Disney+ documentary series in December.
While Swift and Kelce did not attend the Oscars, also at the Dolby Theatre, last Sunday, the couple was spotted at multiple high-glamor after-parties. Swift and Kelce took pains to avoid being photographed on their post-Oscar night out, however.
So why will Swift be in attendance, possibly with Kelce at her side, at the Dolby Theatre on March 26? According to a report by the show business trade publication Variety, the answer is simple — she is nominated for nine awards.
The show will also spotlight Miley Cyrus, who is set to receive the iHeartRadio Innovator Award, adding another major storyline to Swift’s appearance. Unconfirmed reports say that Swift will take the stage to present the award.
The nominations include artist of the year, song of the year, pop song of the year, favorite TikTok dance, best lyrics, best music video, favorite on-screen and favorite tour style, Variety reported.
But the bad news for Swift’s fans, according to Variety, is that the superstar will not take the stage to perform at the show, which will be broadcast live by the Fox network.
Swift-Kelce Wedding Details Leaked
The news of Swift’s appearance — and possible appearance by the Swift-Kelce couple — emerged on the same day that the Daily Mail reported leaked, alleged details of the couple’s upcoming wedding.
The wedding will take place indoors, to keep the ceremony away from fans and photographers and maintain privacy for the couple and their guests, according to the Daily Mail sources.
While the widely reported June 13 date for Swift’s wedding to Kelce has yet to be confirmed, the Mail sources said that the big event will definitely take place before Kelce, who re-signed with the Chiefs on a one-year contract, resumes football activities for the 2026 season.
The Chiefs’ first day of training camp is scheduled for July 22, indicating that the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding will take place sometime before that date.
