Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce may be planning their wedding a little differently than expected. New reports suggest the couple could hold two separate ceremonies as part of an effort to handle privacy and security around the event.

According to OK!, Swift, 36, and the Kansas City Chiefs star tight end, 36, are said to be organizing one large, public-facing celebration and a second, smaller, more private ceremony. The idea is that the bigger event would draw most of the attention, while the more personal moment stays out of the spotlight.

The couple, who announced their engagement in August 2025, has been under constant public attention in the months leading up to the wedding, with details continuing to leak.

Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce’s Wedding Plans Reportedly Include Large Ceremony and Private Event

An insider spoke with Ok! Magazine and said Swift is expected to host the larger ceremony in June at her Rhode Island estate, with around 150 guests invited. The celebration is expected to take place across her oceanfront property and nearby venues, including the Ocean House resort.

At the same time, a second ceremony is reportedly being considered for a later date in New York City. Rob Shuter, author of the “Naughty But Nice” Substack newsletter, said during a Fox 5 New York appearance that the event could take place at Swift’s SoHo apartment.

“I’m hearing New York, and I’m actually hearing a location, let me give it away. It is at her own apartment,” Shuter said. “That street downtown in SoHo will probably be cordoned off and the wedding will take place there.”

Shuter noted that Swift’s residence is significantly larger than it appears from the outside.

“She has bought four apartments in that building and has knocked them into one massive, massive compound,” he said.

The Couple’s Security Strategy Focuses on Privacy and Control

Sources familiar with the planning process said the two-event approach is tied to security concerns.

“Taylor is extremely aware of the risks that come with this level of fame and exposure, and there is a feeling that a single event simply cannot be protected in the way she would like,” one source told OK!. “The strategy being discussed is to hold one large, highly visible celebration with extensive security, which effectively acts as a decoy, while a second, much smaller ceremony takes place privately.”

The source added, “The idea is that by putting on a big, headline-grabbing day, it draws attention away from the real, more meaningful moment.”

Another source said Swift and Kelce’s teams are focused on limiting further leaks.

“When you have this level of celebrity and this much detail circulating, it becomes a genuine security issue,” the source said, adding that preparations are “extremely tight.”

Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce’s Wedding Details Continue to Draw Attention

Additional details about the wedding have continued to circulate, including speculation about Swift’s dress. Other reports suggest the design could draw inspiration from Elizabeth Taylor’s 1950 gown, featuring lace detailing and a cinched waist.

Swift and Kelce, who began dating in 2023, have kept a low profile in recent months. The pair has been seen shielding themselves from public view during outings in New York City, including visits to Casa Cipriani and the Plaza Hotel.

The couple has not publicly confirmed details of the ceremony.
