Travis Kelce shared a rare glimpse into how he’s feeling about his upcoming wedding to Taylor Swift. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end made a brief but telling comment on the Wednesday, May 6, episode of his podcast. His rare comment comes as new details continue to emerge about the couple’s plans following their August 2025 engagement.

Travis Kelce Shares His Excitement for His Wedding on ‘New Heights’

Kelce addressed his wedding during an episode of “New Heights,” the podcast he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce. The conversation came up while the brothers were speaking with professional golfer and back-to-back Masters champ, Rory McIlroy.

McIlroy, 37, compared the experience of hosting the Masters Champions Dinner to what Kelce could expect on his wedding day, describing the feeling of having people from different parts of life gathered in one place.

“Travis, you’ll feel this this year whenever you’re sitting at your wedding, and you have all the people in a room from like, it’s so it’s amazing to have all these people in the same room from your childhood … and it’s surreal. It’s unbelievable,” McIlroy said. “The only thing that I can compare it to is your wedding day because it’s like all this collection of people in the same room. It’s like wild.”

Kelce responded with a simple, three-word reply: “I can’t wait.”

The brief comment marks one of the few times Kelce has publicly addressed the wedding, as both he and Swift have largely kept details private.

Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Wedding Plans Continue to Draw Attention

While Kelce has remained relatively quiet, reports about the couple’s wedding continue to circulate. According to comments made by journalist Rob Shuter during an interview on Fox 5 New York, the couple’s ceremony could take place around early July.

“We now know the date, the date is July 3rd. Her favorite holiday is July 4th, so she’s getting married the day before,” Shuter said. “We don’t exactly know the location yet.”

Shuter added that speculation has pointed to multiple possible locations, including New York City and Swift’s Rhode Island property. He also shared a specific claim about a potential New York venue.

“It is at her own apartment,” he said. “So, I’m told, a street downtown in SoHo will probably be cordoned off, and the wedding will take place there.”

According to Shuter, Swift’s residence may be larger than it appears.

“She has bought four apartments in that building and has knocked them into one massive, massive compound,” he said, suggesting the space could accommodate guests.

Shuter also noted that the couple reportedly plans to encourage charitable donations instead of traditional gifts.

Security & Privacy Remain Key Ahead of Wedding Day

As details continue to emerge, reports suggest the couple is prioritizing privacy and security. The high level of public interest in the wedding has led to increased attention around logistics and guest planning.

Recent reports have also highlighted scams targeting fans and potential guests. Singer Maren Morris shared that she received a fake wedding invitation via text message.

“I got this spam text a couple weeks ago,” Morris said during a SiriusXM interview. “And it was like, ‘You’re invited to Taylor and Travis’s wedding.’”

Morris said she immediately questioned the message.

“There’s no way,” she added, explaining that she blocked the number after receiving the text.

The report follows claims that official save-the-date invitations had already been sent, suggesting any informal messages should be treated with caution.
