The Maxx Crosby trade speculation is one of the top stories this Super Bowl week, as the Las Vegas Raiders have to figure out what they want to do with their star pass rusher this offseason.
Crosby will be 29 when the 2026 NFL season starts, and this could be the last opportunity for the Silver and Black to receive the maximum value for him in a trade. As a result, the Raiders need to ask themselves whether the team’s rebuild will be done during Crosby’s prime years or whether it’s best to secure the draft picks.
Amid the speculation swirling, the Detroit Lions‘ Aidan Hutchinson was asked about Crosby and whether he’d want the pass rusher, who has spent time in the state after playing four years at Eastern Michigan.
“In the event that it did happen, that would be so dangerous,” Hutchinson said on the Feb. 5 edition of “Up & Adams.” “Me and Maxx have a great relationship. I’d love to play with him. We see each other every now and then. We’ll DM every now and then, and we both have a lot of respect for each other’s games.”

Although there are players on contending teams that want Crosby, Raiders running back Ashton Jeany wants to see the veteran remain with the Silver and Black for next season.
“He’s the heart of the defense, so obviously making plays for us time after time,“ Jeanty said during a Feb. 5 appearance on “Up & Adams.” “We would definitely, in my opinion, lose a lot if he were gone. He can’t go. He’s got to stay.”
Moreover, Jeanty spoke about the impact Crosby has had on him since arriving in Las Vegas last year.
“No, I couldn’t [imagine Crosby leaving the Raiders],“ Jeanty added. “He’s just a special player, man, and I think he’s a special person, too. The energy and the mindset that he brings — he was one of the first people to text me when I got drafted.
“I’ll never forget what he told me. He said, ‘Don’t wait to lead.‘ That resonated with me because as a leader, you think you’ve got to be a certain age or you’ve got to be a certain type of player, but it doesn’t matter who you are.”
Insider Gives Insight on Maxx Crosby’s Future With the Raiders
FOX Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer was one of the insiders to start the swirling Crosby rumors on Feb. 4. Glazer noted that Crosby could be on the trade market this offseason. In an appearance with Yahoo Sports, Glazer explained how the Raiders made a mistake shutting down Crosby during the season. “There’s a couple guys. They tell you they’re playing, they’re playing.”
He was then asked if he believes Crosby’s time with the Raiders is done. “I do. So the day it [shutting down Crosby] happened, no less than 20 teams called me, and asked, ‘Is this real. Can we get him?‘”
Moreover, Glazer then said that this is Crosby’s decision, not the Raiders’, on why he’s done with the team. “They [Raiders] don’t want to do it. But he was just like, ‘I’m not going through another rebuild.‘”
